Sero Fero - 4 (Tinthana, Kritipur) Photo Blog

 Once again, I ran around Kritipur today. Today’s blog consist mainly photos. Kritipur Old town Newar House View of Swyambhu and Kathmandu Tin Thana Uma Maheshawari      And finally, Bagmati at Balkhu. I can not imagine an Olympics opening in the bank of this river. But, if there is the one by miracles, there will be no ‘Last Supper’ parody. #Happy Sunday  

Sero Fero - 3 (Kritipur)

What an amazing evening run to Kritipur, the town, next to my house and I had never visited the inner town. What a shame! I ran towards the university areas to avoid dust and traffic. It is green and clean. On the way, I took the uphill stairs towards the old town. I reached Bagh Bhairab temple and to my surprise, I have never walked through the old Kritipur town. I see a Newari community, which is tightly settled, which reminded me of my birthplace at Naradevi. Since there were no cars, I can run almost freely and enjoy the narrow ally. The high hill, on one side, looking towards the city of Kathmandu with uninterrupted view with a roof of while cloud and sky. On another side, hills of Chandagiri stands green and clean. It was breathtaking. I can see the temple of Bagh Bhairav is visited by many evening walkers and teenagers. Pass the temple, I climbed up to the top of town, I was not aware that there was Layaku (Durbar) at Kritipur. This place holds a history where Kalu Pandey, Chie...
