Running

Every evening, I look forward to the next morning - to run. I am reclaiming my health. Within one week, I am able to run about 6-8 km. I am getting better and I am excited. When I run, I do not intend to win the Olympics but to be a runner. No big aim - maybe a local marathon. By the way, I was preparing for Manjushree Marathon but has been postponed.  I used to run for a run, with no tracking and now I started keeping track using a digital watch - which I hate. I hate the watch that requires recharging. I hate the watch that I can't gift to my grandchildren. Tracking is good to keep me motivated. Additionally, I send out screenshots of my progress to my friends to encourage or annoy them. I exacerbate it, I add a short  video message on WhatsApp and Viber me running in the dark mornings:).  Running is fun. I feel good. I am more hungry and I eat selective food. I have a light body and a light mind. Happy running.....

Online Token appreciating the service

Service quality and customer satisfaction are relative terms, at least in Kathmandu, where in general, service-orientated companies have no genuine interest in customer feedback. Relatively, my internet service provider is better. The internet speed is okay, with fewer issues with connectivity and a fairly stable connection. There are other comforts like mobile app and the best part is their troubleshooting. They are best at managing complaints through app, call and emails. again all these are COMPARED TO OTHER SERVICES available in Kathmandu.  Having said that they have a number of 'areas for improvement. They all have zero environmental considerations and social responsibility. They made the city unphotogenic. It is impossible to take a picture without wires in the background. The city looked ugly. The ISPs have not yet removed the old wires. You see every electric pole is a hazard. It can get fire any time. The internet speed is never NEVER up to the bandwidth we subscribed to. ...

Weekend..

The green mountains are visible on all sides of Kathmandu valley.  The weekend social media is flooded with short hiking photos. Suddenly, there is a plan and I was invited. I accepted but could not take my kids with me. Son had a plan with his school friends. We took public transportation from the meeting venue to the base of Shiva Puri. It is a joy in itself. It was an accomplishment in itself.  The hiking was nice, sunny, and hilly, with greenery and dusty road. The road was frequented by bikes and 4-wheelers were enough to break the mood, without blowing the dust. And happy to see so many people come to enjoy nature, which is unavailable in my part of the town.  The destination was a short hike, to the serene monastery. I prayed. I closed my eyes and thanked Buddha for pulling me and for the quiet moments. And followed by a nice catch-up with old friends and their kids and nostalgia, over lunch at a restaurant on the hilltop. A well-spent weekend gives an energy for a...
