Exploring the essence of great food is indeed a subjective and personal journey. And the mystery behind a great food can be reasoned with a long list. I can confidently say that Lebanese food is exotic and piquant in its taste. In the last few days, it is proven to be true. Lebanese cuisine carries a distinct taste which often leaves an indelible mark on those who indulge in its flavours. Today, I took another opportunity to visit a new Lebanese restaurant for the Friday lunch, wishing to taste something new. I am not a food taster nor a food critic influencer, but I believe food is a gateway to understanding culture, society, and history.  I am too bad at elaborating on the taste, but the more I travel around, I gradually start to realise food is not only food. For nearly a month, this blog is a long due. I am back. It was a good trip, a long-awaited trip home,  after two months, 13 days but only for two weeks. The two weeks went like two days, with many social functions and dinner invitations, of course with COVID precautions. The hills and greenery were refreshing. Getting around on a motorbike on dusty and muddy roads in town, once again, reminds me of my roots. The capital city deserves to be better. Things have not changed, except for the prime minister.  My little daughter's chatter and TikTok videos were the highlights of my two weeks stay. What else do I wish for?  I'm contained. Being home and being 'here' is contrasted in all ways imaginable. But fundamentally both places are beautiful. Some cross-cutting 'issues' tried to overshadow them. Happiness comes in all forms and shapes. Now the new pinnacle of happiness is seeing the 'send and receive' bar moving head.  And having whats app video call is divine happiness. The best internet was today and I was able to do the video chat.  The power of the internet and being happy with the smallest slice of it. 😌😌😌😌 Happy Friday.
